My name is Magali Vega Rejas, but everyone calls me Magui. I am originally from Chincha, Peru. My love for cooking started as early as nine years old. While growing up food was really important to me, being that it was not always guaranteed. Learning how to cook was a necessity, but soon became my passion. Being so young I was eager to learn from anyone that was willing teach me. I was fortunate to have learned these lessons from my grandmothers, my aunts, my mother in law and even the ladies from my neighborhood. As I got older I made these recipes my own, and every dish not only has my love, but the love of all the strong women I learned from.
